I has been awhile. Can I just tell you how much I've enjoyed being on vacation from my computer?

I have a love/hate relationship with the internet.

It is a total time-suck when I am not self-moderated, and a great blessing to a mama who doesn't like to do a lot of "running around". I have grappled with this dilemma for years......

Around the beginning of Lent, it occurred to me that this would be my fast. The internet.

It has gone very well and a habit for me to happily break.

Breaking this habit means less of me on the internet, therefore less of me blogging and commenting. My plans are to blog whenever an inspiration strikes or something really big happens, but for now I am going to enjoy being unplugged.

My home is tidy, I am rediscovering my love for reading and music. I am content. My family needs all of me, body and mind.

The future may bring more time in my day to blog and journal, but for now I am full.

Stop by and comment anytime, I love to hear from you all.

Have a truly blessed and productive Monday.

In God's Love, Tami

  2. I completely know what you're talking about. I have been drastically limiting myself with the computer lately. I even deleted some of my bookmarks that I had a hard time avoiding. Good for you! Holly

  3. I am in the same struggle. I find motivation and inspiration from so much of what I read, but I find time slips away so quickly when I am at the computer. I am coming up with some strict parameters to help keep my time to a minimum.

  4. It is always a blessing to take a blogging break. :)

Glad you're back- if only to pop in from time to time.

  6. Hmm. It is now July 16 and I guess you are still taking a computer break. I hoped to see how your garden is doing this year.
I do hope you are well and enjoying your time away from the blog. Just know that some of us miss you. :)

  7. Yep still on a break. We are leaving for vacation soon. Maybe a blog post to wrap up the summer. Bless you, Tami

  8. I'm totally the same - I think I'm addicted in fact. I spend a lot of my day in front of a computer and then when i get home I'm on my computer. Will it never end?
