Nothing makes me happier than when I am surrounded by my husband and children. I can remember the longing for children, and the desire to fill our home with "joyful noise".
I am so grateful that the Lord answered the desire of my heart, to be given the fullness of a blessed life with children.
Amidst our daily activities, J.D. and I managed to carve out some one on one time together. The children look so forward to these special times with Dad or I. Today, he and I painted a little thrifted chair, just for him. He chose the most magnificent rainbow to paint. The chair turned out so cute, and now he has a wonderful memory attached to it. Maybe someday he will give this chair to one of his little ones, and tell them the story of it.
One of my favorite parts of painting is admiring the palette afterwards. The layered colors are almost a work of art in themselves.
I hope and pray that you all had a blessed, peaceful, and love-filled day. In God's Love, Tami
Such a sweet idea, Tami. I need to buy a palette and do that with a chair we have. The kids would have a blast...Take Care,

How cute! How brave! All those colors. Children are special. Mine are 16, 14 and 12 now. Yikes, I cannot believe it!
ReplyDeleteI have traveled to your blog after being on Eyes of Wonder. We'll surely miss Jewel, won't we?

Having just returned from a walk with my second-born, the concept of the importance of one-on-one time is on the brain! I love these little "dates", too! It is so good to get that individual time with each of our children.
ReplyDeleteYour chair turned out so pretty! :)
