Amanda's comment reminded me of the Song of Solomon. Near the beginning of the book, "I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies."
ReplyDeleteToward the end of the book, "I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me." No longer is the bride focused on her ownership of the bridegroom... instead or what he is giving her. Now she focused on his ownership and resting in the fact that he loves her.
I am not there in my own walk ~ but I have a dream. Maybe I can't reach it this side of heaven!
