Planting the Seeds

Today was one of those blessed days when my mind, body, and soul were blissfully synchronized and ready to complete joyfully all the tasks of the day.
The weather was perfectly warm, an envelope of comfort, with a slight calming breeze.
All the birds were busy chattering, as if to say, "the fall is coming, can you feel it in the air?"

This morning, while there was still dew on the grass, the little children spread seeds from our now spent summer flowers. Each seed deposited on the ground, with a prayer, that next spring they would grow into the beautiful flowers the hummingbirds love so much.

God's precious cycle of life evident to them, in sending these seeds back to the earth.

This evening a cool, crisp breeze flows through my home. Very soon we will be inside for the fall and winter, so blessed to be dry and warm.

I am so grateful that the Lord has opened my eyes to the beauty and blessings that surround me everyday. The very simple and most basic joys in life.

I hope and pray that this day was a joy and a blessing to you.

In God's Love, Tami

  1. That is a great idea to *purposefully* put the seeds where you want them to go. I've got to try that myself! Instead of just letting the flower seeds go wherever. Have a wonderful Saturday..
